
The approach of the Kerala government to higher education emphasizes both the readiness for employment and the perfection of research, says Minister of Higher Education R. Bindu.
She stressed that the introduction of four -year study programs was a step of this direction.
The Minister spoke at the seminar entitled “Career Planning and Management” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education at the Ente Keralam and EXPO exhibition.
Dr. Bindu noted that Kerala has launched a transformation shift in education in order to strengthen the employability of students and business skills. The government has introduced a curriculum based on a loan that allows students to explore diverse subjects and established incubation centers at universities to support innovative business ideas.
She encouraged students to seek business and quote several successful student businesses as examples. “Students should have the freedom to learn according to their interests,” she said, adding that institutions such as ASAP (another skill program) offer skills development courses, including artificial intelligence.
“The new educational vision of Keraly is a reaction to the need for knowledge economy and focuses on finding solutions to current challenges using intellectual capital,” the minister said.
VP Jagathy Raj, Vice -Chairman of Sreenanaragura Open University, presented the main presentation. The winners of the ENTE ceram were fedricized.
