Thousands of teachers on Tuesday organized a massive protest in Vijayawada and demanded immediate steps to deal with their long -term complaints, including increased workload from non -teaching duties and financial burden due to delayed arrears.
The protest, entitled “Bata”, was organized by the Federation of Teachers Teachers Andr Pradesh (FAPTO) in Dharno Chowk to draw attention to these questions. The leaders of the FAPTO State Committee announced that teachers would boycott all non -infection activities, including the Vidya Shakti program, a technologically controlled initiative for remedying for fighting students. Vidya Shakti performs an extracurricular online session aimed at improving learning results, reducing the level of premature ending of school attendance and increasing the ratio of gross enrollment (GER) in government schools.
FAPTO chairman L. Sai Srinivas said that the coalition government led by TDP could not fulfill its earlier promise to facilitate teachers from unfinished duties. Based on serious financial problems as a result of waiting arrears, he required immediate release of fees, notification of 12. He also called on the unified rules of services, the release of pension benefits and the submitted leaving the Úbany, the cancellation of the contributory pension system (CPS) and the bringing teachers hired through DSC 2003 within the old pension system.
The Secretary General of the Federation S. Chiranjeevi urged the government to appoint relatives of teachers who died when they served in Mandala and Zilla Parisads on compassionate land, published orders for the remaining DSC candidates and regulated teachers hired in 1998 and 2008 DSC. He also demanded immediate release of four waiting for irritating posts (DAS) and criticized the alleged Backdoor practices in teachers’ transfers. Other requirements included strengthening a high school plus by appointing more teachers and increasing the age of leaving up to 62 years for teachers in Gurukuls, residential schools and companies throughout the state.
The protest was recorded by the participation of MLC B. Gopi Murty, former MLCS KS KS Lakshman Rao and K. Narasimh Reddy, AP chairman Jac A. Vidyasagar, General of the State State of DV Raman and representatives of various teaching organizations.
