AP United Teachers Federation (UTF) leaders are preparing for nationwide protests against the stands that the Ministry of Education has made key questions such as the school reorganization program, teachers’ transfers and promotion.
State President of the Federation of N. Venkateswarl and the Secretary General of the KSS Prasad said: “Sit-in protests would be presented in the offices of district school officials (DEO) throughout the state.” They said that although officials of the ministry spoke to the representatives of recognized trade unions every week, they took one -sided position on key issues, which could damage the school education system.
UTF leaders criticized the previous government and stated that implemented policies harmful to the education sector, such as merging classes 3 to 5 with secondary schools, the process of re -attributing the teacher through Go 117 and reducing the strength of the teacher. In the end, these measures led to the migration of 10 student students from government schools to private institutions.
The leaders argued that the coalition government led by TDP promised to abolish Go 117 and introduce new policies to strengthen the educational sector, but watched it in the footsteps of its predecessor.
A proposal for upgrading 779 secondary schools and the founding of 9 652 elementary schools was welcome. However, they only assign a second teacher a teacher at secondary schools with a minimum force of 54 students. They warned that this step would lead to thousands of excess posts at secondary schools, especially the contributions of mathematics, English and teacher assistants.
They were concerned about the priorities to be provided for the purpose of establishing model primary schools at the costs of endowing and elementary elementary schools, and called the “undesirable” movement.
They said: “The aim of Monday’s protest is to draw attention to these critical questions that need to be resolved immediately. If the government did not ignore our requirements, we would be forced to intensify our agitation and expose the massive sit-in in Vidya Bhavan on May 15.”
