The scheduled examination for promotion from high school assistant teachers to PU teaching posts has been postponed as teachers across the state are currently engaged in census work. The exam was originally scheduled to take place from April 21 to 24.
The issue was raised by Members of the Legislative Council (MLC) representing the teaching and graduate constituencies at a special house committee meeting in Bengaluru. In view of the extensive involvement of teachers in census-related duties, the committee recommended postponing the exam.
