Telugu Desam (TDP) spokesman Anam Venkat Raman Reddy was looking for an action against three former Commissioners of Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) for their alleged involvement in the release of mortgages before the Certificate of Certificate (OC). During the period 2022-24, he claimed serious discrepancies in the release of mortgage documents in favor of builders.
On Tuesday, the media in the NMC office addressed that the civic body lost the income of 18 Crore. He accused the previous Commissioner D. Harith, D. Chennud and Vikas Marmat of fraudulent relaxation of mortgage documents 72 buildings without obtaining OCS over a period of one and a half years.
The response to the commands of the AP High Court in court proceedings on the public interest of the petition (Pil) submitted to Venko Raman Reddy, the Commissioner NMC Yo Nandan submitted a detailed report to the District Collector, which confirmed that all these 72 buildings were acquired by OCS, but the mortgage was published without subsequent procedure.
In 2024, The NMC Had Annuced that premature Release of MortGage Documents for More than 70 Building Files Was Orchestrated by Nellore Mayor P. Sravanthi’s Husband P. Jayavardhan and His Assistant Forged by Officers B. Poen Kumar (TPO), M. Devendra (TPO), P. Nagendra Babu (WPR) and Karthik Malava (WPR).
Vikas Marmat, the then Commissioner, wrote a letter to the police letter (SP) to initiate criminal investigations of these officials issued by the notification of the cause and later suspended. Mr. Venko Raman Reddy, however, claimed that it was only a tactic of diversion to hide real culprits, because employees who were previously suspended were restored to duty.
