The local Telugu Desam (TDP) cadre made “Palabhiskem” on Friday on Friday on Friday.
The program was kept as a gesture of Thanksgiving to Mr. Naida for creating Karakatt as part of the flood protection measures in the temple city during the then TDP government in the undivided Andhra Pradesh more than two decades ago, the press release said.
Karakatta saved the temple city from potential flood risks during unprecedented floods in Godavari in July 2022, when the water level in the river in the temple city increased to 71.30 feet, the second highest level of the flood, in the recorded history of the river.
The program was attended by local TDP leaders, including Kodali Srinivasan, Rajaram and others.
