Tata Consultancy Services on Wednesday (July 15) launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab, powered by NVIDIA, at its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru.

The new facility is expected to serve as a physical AI hub to accelerate the development and real-world deployment of AI-led solutions across mobility and manufacturing using NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure.

According to a TCS release, the lab is focused on helping enterprises move from pilot projects to production-scale deployments to design, test and validate industrial AI solutions. It is set to enable customers to leverage TCS and the NVIDIA ecosystem to rapidly prototype and simulate cases in the US across a range of industries before deploying them in the real world of mobility, manufacturing and industrial operations.

Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Director and Vice President, Industrial Autonomy and Engineering, TCS, said, “Bengaluru has long been the engine of the Indian economy, and this lab is harnessing that energy to redefine what’s possible with AI.” The lab would provide a controlled environment for pre-launch testing of solutions, thereby reducing deployment risks and improving time-to-market, TCS said.
