Recognized as South India’s largest techno-management festival, Tathva’25 begins at the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) on Friday (October 24, 2025).
The three-day festival, which runs from October 24 to 26, aims to transform the campus into a hub of innovation and is expected to host more than 6,000 students from across the southern states, according to a press release.
Inaugurating the event, N. Ranjana, Director, Futuristic Technology Management, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), New Delhi, highlighted the critical importance of technology in India’s defense and outlined its application in ‘Operation Sindoor’.
She called on the “upcoming generation” of students to drive future technological progress for the nation. NIT-C Director Prasad Krishna, who presided over the function, highlighted the institution’s unwavering commitment to technology and nation building.
Over the next two days, Tathva ’25 will feature an extensive Tech Expo, a series of hands-on workshops and interactive Tech Conclave sessions.
Major attractions include the flagship RoboWars, a crowd favorite showcasing robotic combat. New this year is the Nexus VR Arena, said to be the first of its kind in Kerala. Visitors can also witness an exciting car show along with various design shows, exhibitions and cultural performances before the festival ends on October 26.
