On Wednesday, the police arrested two youth for allegedly ignition of a smaller girl near Ettaiyapuram.
The police said A. Kaliammal, 45 years old, from Ilambhuvanam near Ettaiyapurama lived in the Ramanathapuram district with his 17 -year -old daughter after leaving his husband. The police also said that when a girl fell in love with the neighbor Santhosh, 21, a girl’s mother warned him and more. Santhosh, upset, threatened Kaliammal, who filed a complaint against him in August 2024.
This matter was then resolved by the police after Santhosh gave a written commitment that he would no longer disturb the girl.
Because the girl had to continue her studies, she sent Kaliammal to her daughter to her mother’s house in a village near Ettaiyapurama. 23rd March was found with Burns in the house and was hurried to the thoothuku Medical College Hospital, where it is in critical condition.
When the Ettaiyapuram police launched an investigation, the girl told the police that Santhosh and his friend Muthaiah, who came to the house of her grandmother on Sunday, forced her to continue his relationship with the former. When she refused, they poured kerosene on her and set it on fire.
Police investigations in the village also revealed that on Sunday both youth came to the house of grandmother girls. Based on the investigation on Monday, the police charged Santhosh of Parmakudi and his co -worker Muthaiha (22) from the same area. The duo was transferred in judicial custody.
