With the two-year-old Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founded by actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay leading by more than 100 seats as of 1:00 PM on counting day on Monday (May 4, 2026), according to early trends, many of its front-line leaders have performed well so far.
Mr Vijay, who contested from two seats – Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchi East – is leading both seats with a comfortable lead. Top party leaders including General Secretary N. Anand (T. Nagar), Chief High Level Committee Coordinator KA Sengottaiyan (Gobichettipalayam), General Secretary – Election Campaign Management Aadhav Arjuna (Villivakkam), General Secretary – Politics and Propaganda KG Arunraaj (Thiruchengode), and Chief Treasurer (Thiruchengode).
