Amid speculation that actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is mulling joining the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming Assembly elections, several sources in the party on Friday (March 13, 2026) denied this. They termed media reports in this regard as “rumours”.
According to party sources, on Friday (March 13, 2026), a meeting of TVK district secretaries took place via video conference, which was also attended by party leaders. During the meeting, some members learned that they had discussed the possibility of joining the NDA.
However, second-line leaders at TVK dismissed it as “mere rumours”. According to them, the party has already started preparations for the selection process in all 234 representative districts.
