Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam President C. Joseph Vijay said on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) that the people of Tamil Nadu had given him everything and he entered politics only with a sense of gratitude to serve them and would not yield to the pressure of “anti-people fascist forces”.
In a statement to the people of Tamil Nadu, Mr Vijay claimed that since the day he entered politics, he had been under immense pressure from the DMK, which he termed his party’s political enemy and an “anti-people evil force”, and the BJP, which he termed his party’s ideological enemy and a “divisive force”, competing along with “many others”.
