The predominantly agrarian Kattumannarkoil (SC) constituency with Veeranam Lake, which largely meets Chennai’s drinking water requirements, is located at the end of the delta region and is set for an interesting battle.
The seat is held by M. Sinthanai Selvan of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and with Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) being allotted as a constituency in the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), it is sure to be a tough fight between the two parties.
