The poor condition of basic amenities from drinking water to incomplete underground sewerage marks Virudhunagar town in Virudhunagar Assembly constituency. This is indeed a sore thorn in the district headquarters.
The water supply is insufficient. Despite the fact that ten years have passed since underground drainage began, the system remains incomplete without a proper sewage treatment plant.
