
The linguistic dispute escalated to violence, in which a 20 -year -old student was allegedly confused and beaten up with a hockey wand after he asked others at the College WhatsApp Group to speak in Marath and threatened NDTV on behalf of Raj Thackey.

“The first information report was registered at the Vashi Police Station in connection with a dispute that arose between two groups. The dispute was the result of an argument between two individuals about the group comments,” NDTV Budhwant said.
He added: “The complainant was also supposedly beaten by a wand. The investigation is on and the accused will be taken.”
MNS Gajanan Kale spokesman and other MNS workers entered and met police officials. They were looking for a strict action against the NAIK and the group who attacked the student. Kale said, “We also met a student and his family.”
