The state government is taking various steps to increase milk production in Tamil Nadu, the Minister for the Development of Milk and Dairy Products T. Mano Thangaraj said on Monday.
The department of milk development is taking steps to ensure the distribution of healthy milk to the general public and providing assistance to milk farmers, said Mr. Mano Thangaraj after visiting the district cooperative milk manufacturer in Pudukotta (Aavin) (Aavin).
The Minister said that district cooperative milk producers in Pudukottai play a key role in the development of the village economy. In the Pudukottai district, a total of 399 Milk Farrmers companies were registered and 326 companies operated. Milk was obtained every day and distributed throughout the district, he added.
New plant
Previously, Mr. Mano Thangara, together with the Minister of Social Care backpoint Siva V. Meyanathan, revealed the basis for the construction of a dairy cooling plant for 24 lakh in Kottaikad, Panchayat in Karambakudi Panchayat probond in carambak and thiruvarankulam taluks.
Later he organized an inspection meeting on the collector, in which the district collector M. Arnu, officials of Aavin, the secretaries of the co -operative companies of milk manufacturers and representatives of local authorities, officials, participated in the officials of Aavina.
