
Mr. Ramadoss warned that the continuous presence of chrome waste is a health risk for residents as part of his state tour.
On Sunday, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss urged the state government to take immediate remediation steps to report Chromia contamination at the extinct Tamil Nadu Chromat and Chemicals Limited (TNCCL) in Ranipet.
Ramadoss, who addressed residents, social activists and cadres during his Padayatra in Ranipeta and said that since the factory in 1989, a huge amount of waste was thrown out on the back of the extinct factory. The factory, which was spread to 20 acres, has now deposited 2.5 lakh tons of chrome waste on eight acres of soil. “Such a huge amount of waste waste pollutes groundwater in its vicinity. At least 200 hectares of agricultural land in the surrounding areas will be affected in terms of water pollution,” he said.
Ramadoss, stressed that he poses a health risk in the region in the region, emphasized the situation of farmers, older citizens and children in the region due to non -expression of Chromia waste. Although it is a local MLA representing the election district of the rag Ranipet, R. Gandhi, Minister of Textile and towels, he did not conduct any specific steps to safely dispose of chrome waste from the factory. “According to the Cancer Institute Institute, more patients come from ranipet. The waste of chromium in the factory could also be a reason to affect the health of the population,” he said.
