The chairwoman of Keral P. Sathidevi appreciated the changing perception of gender roles among the new generation and urged female organizations to encourage it. “We see that even well -educated girls are led to take extreme step for domestic violence. It is not that they do not know about the laws that protect them, but many lack confidence,” she said.
Mrs. Sathidevi, who drew from Anecdot on the recent incidents of domestic violence that has become subtitles, said patriarchal thinking was the main reason for violence violence. “Even women follow this thinking. The forum was founded in Kottayam in May 2025 to provide social support to the victims of domestic violence at a time when they rarely receive support from their families. Approximately 18 organizations are supported, regardless of political affiliation, including Anweshi, Pennakam, women in the cinema team, Kerala Shastra Sahitya Parisad, Penkoot, All India Democratic Women’s Association, Vanith Sahithi, Trust for Mental Health and Women – Representatives.
