
The Chief Minister of Pinarayi Vijayan ordered that immediate steps to rehabilitate 1,136 families living in the field of ground struggle in Chengara.
On Monday, he chaired the meeting to discuss measures to improve the life conditions of the families. The ministers concerned should have discussions with Plantation Corporation, Farming Corporation and other officials and take all the necessary steps.
A special camp was organized and rations were distributed. The onam sets were also provided. Mobile ration shops will start distributing food from next month. Work card distribution will soon be completed. The existing anganwadis should be strengthened to deal with the nutritional problem of children. Medical camps should be organized at regular intervals to identify health problems and ensure appropriate treatment. The availability of drugs should be ensured. Steps will be taken to provide solar lamps for studying. The main minister also ordered to take steps to ensure the availability of drinking water.
