T20 World Cup: Ishan Kishan suffers injury scare after Jasprit Bumrah’s finger crusher

February 11, 2026

Wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan suffered an injury scare when he was hit on the left leg by a yorker from Jasprit Bumrah on Wednesday, February 11. Ishan winced in pain after being hit during India’s practice session on the eve of their T20 World Cup match against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

He required immediate attention from the team’s physiotherapist after falling to the ground and clutching his leg painfully.

Much to the relief of the Indian camp, Ishan was able to get back on his feet and resume training. He continued to bat for another five minutes before leaving the nets.

The wound came during the second half of his session and he appeared to be in some discomfort even after treatment.

More to follow.
