The T-HUB starting incubator and the Japanese firm of risk capital and innovations outside the next Ventures India (BNVI) agreed to extend their partnership until November 2027.
Based on the original memorandum of understanding in 2023, the extended partnership will start starting more strategic initiatives in the next five years, T-Hub said on Thursday.
T-Hub and BnVI will jointly start a social innovation program aimed at authorizing startups dealing with critical social and environmental issues. The program will work in Tandem with Bnvi’s Brave Accelerator and uses the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for funding and mentoring.
They will also cooperate on the development of localized versions of the BNVI innovative program to cultivate the pipeline of highly qualified entrepreneurs supported science in India.
The Indo-Japanese innovation program will be their third initiative, which is trying to facilitate closer involvement between Japanese corporations and Indian startups. The aim of T-Hub and BnVI will support the establishment of global centers (GCC) in India, which will serve as innovation centers for Japanese companies that want to expand to the Indian market. This cooperation will also help Indian startups to access the market in Japan, T-Hub said.
The extension of the memoranduka will also see Bnvi operating from the T-Hub Hyderabad area and will continue to lead innovation initiatives within the Indo-Japon Innovation Bridge and T-Bridge programs.
