BCCi decided to re -appoint T. Dilip as a team coach for the upcoming tour after England after the zero failed to replace. Bcci decided to divide his ways with Dilip, along with the assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, last month in the coaching staff of the Rejiga after a bad trip of India in 2024-25 Border-Gavaska TROPHY series against Australia.
“Dilip is a good coach who has served the team for more than three years (since 2021). Most of these crickets know very closely very carefully. So to leave it on board for a large series (VS England), the team will do well,” PTI said.
BCCI was very happy to bind a foreign name as the new Fielding coach, but the control body could not have done it at the desired time.
“So at this stage there is no point in bringing a new name and Dilip is also very popular with players,” he added.
During his earlier stint, Dilip previously introduced some populist measures, such as providing medals to the best players on the day of the match or bringing some legendary people to distribute these medals.
Gill, Sudhasan in doubt for heating
The newly appointed test captain Shaubhman Gill and Reserve Batter B Sai Sudharsan could miss the second four -day game of India and against England Lions, starting on June 6.
They are part of Gujarat Titans. If GT qualifies to the final, which is scheduled for June 3 in Ahmedabad, it will be difficult for Gill and Sudharshan to join India before the match.
In addition, they will have to quickly adapt to different conditions in England and red ball format.
They have always been scheduled to miss the first India’s four -day game, starting with the 30th of May.
India A will be trained by former Indian player HRISHIKESH KANTIKAR and will be helped by Ryan Ten Dranschat (Batting) and Troy Cooley (Bowling).
