The 25 -year -old man from West Bengal, who was arrested on Friday 22nd August in the case of theft, allegedly tried to escape from the police link at the Government Medical College Hospital in Kalamassers.
Assadullah, arrested by the Police Thrikkakar, reportedly gave the cops a slip when he was admitted for a medical examination. Later on the day he was charged from Kangapady, police sources said.
The man was arrested for alleged theft of battery and copper cables from the construction site of the metro. Was submitted in court and ceded.
