
The Chevajur police in Kozhikode took into custody of a native of West Bengal, which is suspected that 45 monarchs of gold decorations and 10,000 GBP from a house that works in the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode.
Police sources on Thursday (October 9, 2025) said Tapas Kumar Saha, 45, accused, was packed with a special team created under the deputy of the police commissioner ARUN K. Pavathran. The questioning team flew to the West Bengal and Saha was later taken into custody using the local police. Sources claimed that he was traveling by train from West Bengal to Coimbatore and from there to Kozhikode. It is reported that Saha arrived at Chevarambbalam on foot and after burglary he fled to the west Bengal by train. The police said he was in many cases theft addicted to drugs and suspicious.
