Suryakumar Yadav went on a memory lane and remembered his debut in Indian Premier League (IPL). In 2012, Suryakumar appeared for the Bombai Indians (Mi) against the now extinct Pune Warriors at the WankHhed stadium in Mumbai.
Suryakumar had no unforgettable trip after Marlon Samuels released him to a quad. He lost a match of 28 runs after he fought at 101 for nine while chasing 130. Yadav said he couldn’t sleep the night before debut for me.
“I barely slept the night before my debut for Indians in Mumbai-I went to bed around 4 or 5 in the morning. There was so much excitement. Playing for franchise clarified another kind of buzz.
“Enjoy the game”
After Suryakumar made his debut, Suryakumar had to grind hard in the IPL and the domestic cricket before debuting in 2021.
“You are still working hard and waiting for your chance, but it is natural to think – when does it come? If it finally does, if you are exerting too much pressure, I don’t help that I enjoyed the game, I stayed faithful to myself and return to work if things don’t click.
Suryakumar also became the world 1 in T20is, which shows its efficiency in the 20-over-game format. So far, 83 T20is Suryakumar scored 2598 runs on average 38.20 with four centuries and 21 half shooting.
Recently, Suryakumar also completed 4000 runs in IPL. In the ongoing IPL edition, Suryakumar scored 427 runs out of 10 games on average 61 and strike 169.44.
