Suryakumar Yadav buys a luxury house in Dubai and becomes Shah Rukh Khan’s neighbor

India’s T20 World Cup captain Suryakumar Yadav has bought a luxury house in Dubai near a residential project associated with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The Indian batsman shared a video on Instagram showing him signing property documents with his wife Devisha Shetty by his side.

Suryakumar bought the property from Danube Properties. He said his visits to Dubai over the years have endeared him to the city, especially its lifestyle, standard of living and safety.

“I came here for the first time in 2014 and we came back in 2020. People from India look towards Dubai; luxury and standard of living are evident here. Even though there is safety where I live in Mumbai, Dubai is also excellent in terms of safety. Coming here brings me great comfort and happiness,” said Suryakumar.

He also praised the amenities of the residential project and singled out its Longevity Lounge.

“The 40+ premium amenities are impressive, but what won me over is the Longevity Lounge! Something unheard of in residential projects,” he wrote on Instagram.

The property has attracted attention due to its reported proximity to Shahrukhz Residence, a luxury project being developed by Danube Group in Dubai Maritime City and named after Shah Rukh Khan. The price of Suryakumar’s new home has not been disclosed.

Suryakumar was also in the news after that absent from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy squad. His continued absence from the team’s pre-season training camp was the reason for his exclusion, a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) source told PTI on Tuesday.

The batsman has made himself available for domestic cricket but reportedly did not take part in training ahead of the squad announcement. Mumbai’s red-ball players have been training for a month and practice resumed on Tuesday at the Cricket Club of India and the BKC Ground MCA.

Suryakumar has been away from professional cricket since IPL 2026, though he recently played in a local T20 tournament in Mumbai. He will be hoping to return to regular competitive action and work his way back into the national team.
