Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty welcomed a baby girl and congratulatory messages poured in from across the cricketing world for the Indian T20I captain and his family. The couple, who married in July 2016, welcomed a baby this March.
The news comes midway through IPL 2026, with Suryakumar currently part of the Mumbai Indians set-up. The star batsman has reportedly refrained from traveling with the squad to Raipur earlier this week due to family commitments surrounding the birth of his child.

Over the years, Devisha has remained a constant presence thanks to Surya’s rise from domestic cricket stalwart to one of India’s biggest T20 stars and now the national T20 captain.
The couple has also remained very popular with fans for their social media presence, with Devisha often traveling alongside Suryakumar during tours and IPL seasons.
And now, amid all the chaos of the IPL season and Mumbai Indians’ playoff run, the Yadav household has a much happier reason to celebrate.
WILL SURYAKUMAR YADAV PLAY RCB VS MI?
Mumbai Indians are yet to officially confirm whether Suryakumar will be available for their crucial IPL 2026 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 10.
The timing of the birth has naturally created uncertainty about his immediate return to the team, especially as MI are currently traveling ahead of the Raipur match.
Suryakumar led Mumbai in their previous match against Lucknow Super Giants after regular skipper Hardik Pandya missed the game due to back spasm.
Led by Surya, Mumbai were comfortably chasing 229 with Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton starring in the massive chase.
However, with Hardik still recovering and Suryakumar now away on family duty, MI could potentially require another stand-in captain against RCB, with Jasprit Bumrah emerging as the main option if required.
