
The anti -corruption office (ACB) entertained over 2.7 GBP Lakh in an unseen cash during a series of surprising checks carried out across Telangana on Thursday, June 26). The raids focused on the RTA checks, the RTA offices and the Subregistrar branch and revealed several inconsistencies in the functioning of these departments.
From the Salabatpur RTA checkpoint in the Kameddy District and the RTA offices in Peddapally, Trimulgherry and Uppal, a total of 1,81,030 GBP was obtained. The unlightened amount was found during routine verification, which also revealed procedural irregularities.
In the ACB parallel operation, the ACB teams checked in the Burgumpad in the Khammam and Bheemadevapapally district in the Warangal District, where the Burgumpad branch in the Khammam and Bheemadevarapally district was confiscated, where 91,000 GBP were seized. The authorities noted that several discrepancies were also observed during these inspections and the government would be sent to the relevant measures.
ACB urged the public to report any cases of bribery or corruption through its free line of help 1064. Complaints can also be submitted via WhatsApp to 944046106 or by official ACB handles on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). The Bureau assured that the identity of the complainants would be confidential.
