Rajendranagar police conducted surprise inspections at 39 estates in Mudimyal and Tolkatta villages on the night of November 1 and the early hours of November 2 and found several violations, including illegal consumption of alcohol, unauthorized activities and hookah use.
The checks were conducted under the supervision of Rajendranagar DCP Yogesh Goutam along with local police teams.
At Azeemuddin Farm in Tolkatta village, police found guests consuming hookah. At Pranava Villa Hills, 18 beer bottles and one full bottle of whiskey were seized for violation of excise duty. A separate raid at “12 Farm” in Tolkatta village revealed an unauthorized party with 29 men and women, loud music, fireworks and used alcohol bottles ranging from whiskey, rum, vodka, wine and breezers strewn around the premises. Drug tests performed on the participants came back negative.
In Mudimyal village, a hookah was also found inside a vehicle. Another major violation was found at Rithika Estate, where about 150 Slate School students gathered without permission for an event that included an unauthorized sound system and consumption of alcohol by several participants.
In parallel with the inspections at the estate, vehicle searches were carried out in Tolkatta by the Special Operations Team (SOT) and traffic police personnel. A total of 120 four-wheelers, 30 three-wheelers and 15 two-wheelers were checked, resulting in three drink-driving cases, three vehicles impounded and fines of ₹30,000 collected.
The police register four cases against the organizers and owners of estates who participated in the offences.
Authorities have warned all estate owners to obtain prior police permission to hold events. If alcohol is served, separate approval from the tax department is required. The DCP has warned that strict legal action will be taken against any management found in breach of these norms.
