On Sunday, the State Minister of the Union for oil and natural gas Suresh Gopi expressed his desire to withdraw from his ministerial post and recommended the newly elected Bharatiya Janata (BJP) as his replacement.
Gopi, who was addressed here by the party workers in the post, which was also attended by Mr. Sadanandan, said the nomination of the leader for Rajya Sabha meant a significant breakthrough in the Kannur district. “I say sincerity that Mr. Sadanandan should be after removal of the (trade union) after removal. I believe it will become a new chapter in the political history of Keraly,” he said.
Mr. Gopi added that he prayed that Mr. Sadanandan’s office would soon be upgraded to the ministerial office.
The actress’s politician said he was one of the youngest BJP members in the state when he joined the party in October 2016. “I never wanted to be a minister by leaving his film career,” said Mr. Gopi, adding that his income has recently decreased significantly.
Mr. Sadanandan, Head of the BJP leader from Kannura, lost both legs during the alleged attack by CPI (M) in 1994.
