
Surajkund Mela 2026, the most famous cultural fair kicked off on Saturday. The 39th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2026 is being held in Faridabad. Vice President CP Radhakrishnan inaugurated the 16-day grand event. This year’s theme is Local to Global and is focused on the states of Uttar Pradesh and Meghalaya.
Promising art and culture lovers an exemplary display of India’s rich handicrafts and handlooms alongside global art forms, regional performances and culinary delights, the event brings a unique festive fervor to life at the same venue every year. Travelers, culture lovers, families and craft collectors rush to this fair not only to buy collectibles at attractive prices, but also for rich experiences.
Organized by Haryana Tourism in collaboration with the Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture and External Affairs, the mela showcases handicrafts, textiles, folk music, dance and regional cuisine. Recognized as one of the largest craft fairs in the world, Surajkund Mela attracts huge crowds.
Egypt is a partner country that presents its heritage through art and cultural displays. The setting of the pavilion, inspired by the pyramids and markets of Cairo, is a feast for the eyes.

With more than a thousand stalls and performances every day, the fair provides a platform for local artisans to showcase their crafts to the world and achieve international recognition.

For students and seniors, tickets can be used at discounted prices, but a valid ID is required.
The website states: “The multi-cuisine Food Court offers ethnic cuisines from around the world that are hugely popular with visitors. There are dedicated areas for entertainment, adventure sports and fun riding to make it a must-attend event for the youth. In 2013, the fair was upgraded to an international level and in 2015, a record number of 20 partner countries and Nhbagar, The Melametis and Lehnon countries participated in The We have to stand.”
