
Mandhana’s tore emphasized the growth of the female Premier League (WPL) and said it has shown the potential of the female cricket to generate considerable revenue. Since its foundation in 2023, WPL has completed three editions. Mandhana was part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who raised the title last year.
Mandhana prepared for the representation of Ratnagiri nozzles in Maharashtra Premier League 2025 and expressed that with the growing popularity of female cricket, more people are now willing to invest in it. They believe that sport will continue to improve, especially at local level.

“I feel that this kind of stage cricket has an amazing stage and the very fact that the state association and WPL, the way they supported it, shows that a female cricket can of course generate revenue, which is for a female cricket,” Mandhana Siostar said.
“And people are ready to invest money into it. I think the more professional sport gets, it will only be better, especially for crickets at local level. For them I think it’s just amazing,” Mandhana said.
“So, of course, the promotion is one thing, but I think we are far from the female cricket. I see how people are ready to invest, and it shows that the female cricket is growing and people want to watch it,” Mandhana added.
Mandhana is expected to be in action because the Jets Lock Horn with Raigad Royals in match 2 MPL on Thursday, June 5 in Pune.
It is also expected that Mandhana will play a key role for Indian women at the ODI World Championship, which will take place from September 30 to November 2. Southpaw is currently the second highest running shooter for Indian women in ODI after Mithali Raj.
