The case was registered in the relevant sections against the supplier after the insufficient construction building at the ENNORE thermal power plant collapsed, in which nine migrating workers died on September 30, the police said on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of MK Stalin expressed their sorrow over the incident. Nine victims come from Assam.
“The cases have been reserved against the supplier. The investigation is underway,” said the police officer of the Kath PTI police station.
Mr. Stalin instructed the Minister of Electricity SS Sivasankar and chairman of Tangedco K. Radhakrishnan to immediately supervise the help of the accident.
When he talked to PTI, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that migrant staff stood under the construction building when the incident occurred.
