Sunil Joshi addresses a press conference (PTI Photo/Kamal Kishhore) New Delhi: Former Indian Spinner Sunil Joshi is ready to become a new Bowling coach at BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengalur since 1 October. The 55-year-old was very involved during the recently closed Duleep trophy and even traveled with India for their games in Australia and Lucknow.Joshi’s move means that Kings Panjab will now have to look for a new coach assistant, because the left amponist was part of Ricky Ponting’s coaching staff in the Premier League Indian (IPL) last season. Subscribe!Before Joshi, Sairaj Bahutale was a coach of bowling in Coe, formerly known as the National Cricket Academy (NCA), but after a similar role with Rajasthan Royals released this position.The Indian cricket council invited requests for position in COE in March this year and emphasized how “the role is an integral part of the development and strengthening of the performance of Indian bowling talent in all formats and age groups, including Indian higher teams (Men & Women), India A, U-23, U-16 and U-15 and U-15 Association and State Association at BCCI COE ”.Joshi will work very closely with the COE Head VVS Laxman and help identify, raise and groom for the future. His role will not only be limited to future talent, but also includes regular work with the current set of spinners in the Indian team and also on those who would train in Coe.
