With demand for tickets skyrocketing, even one of India’s greatest cricketers, Sunil Gavaskar, found it difficult to secure a seat at the theatres.Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, who plays a pivotal role in the two-part film, revealed the fun episode through an Instagram video. While asking fans not to share spoilers, Bedi recounted his recent meeting with Gavaskar and the unusual request that followed.“Talking about sports, yesterday I met one of the great sportsmen of India, the great Sunil Gavaskar ji. He said, ‘Rakeshi ji, I can’t get tickets. So please arrange it for me,'” Bedi said in the video.“So I’m trying to get him some tickets. I hope I can,” he added.The film is now on track to become the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time, a record currently held by its predecessor Dhurandhar.The craze has spread to the world of cricket. Gujarat Titans players were recently seen visiting a theater in Ahmedabad to watch the sequel, while Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya was also spotted at the multiplex enjoying the film.
