Sunil Gavaskar didn’t think twice when he backed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to play in the ODI World Cup 2027. Speaking at India Today’s Salaam Cricket 2026, Gavaskar backed the idea of having India’s favorite duo for the final push for the ODI crown. “Virat and Kohli will definitely play ODI World Cup 2027. They are performing well. Even though the ODI is six months later, they will continue training and stay in touch with the game. Their experience is of utmost importance for the team,” he said.
