Visakhapatnam District Sports Authority on Friday launched 65 annual summer coaching camps in 28 sports disciplines in rural and urban centers of the district. The program will last until May 31.
Organized under the auspices of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), the camps target children in the age group of 8-16 years and try to introduce them to structured sports training at an early stage. District Director of Sports Development June Gallyot said the initiative aims to identify promising talent, encourage children to use their summer holidays constructively and promote a healthy lifestyle through regular sporting activity.
