The Indira Gandhi Zoological Park will organize a five-day summer camp for children aged 4 to 12 years from May 19 to 23 at the Zoo Bioscope on the zoo grounds.

The camp, which will be held daily between 3pm and 5pm, aims to introduce children to nature conservation and biodiversity through interactive learning sessions, games and hands-on activities. The program is organized in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Forest Department, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and WCTRE.

According to the schedule released by the zoo, the camp will feature activities such as animal charades, bird watching, butterfly encounters, backyard gardening, animal mask making and “Little Zoo Vet” sessions. Zoo experts, conservation biologists, veterinarians and environmental specialists will interact with participants during the camp.

Also included were lectures on wildlife and human heat wave precautions, animal habitats and zoo animal diets to help children understand environmental challenges and animal care practices.
The registration fee for the camp is 1000 CZK. Participants will receive T-shirts with an animal theme, caps, study material, a passport to the zoo and participation sheets. A limited number of places are available for the program.
