Sudden and intense rains, which plunged several parts of the state on Sunday, caused considerable crop damage and disrupted normal life. The state government has issued a warning and initiated measures for response to emergencies.
Interior Minister Vangalapudi Anith conducted discussions with Ronanki Kurmanath, director of the AP (APSDMA) Office to assess the current situation and review the weather forecast for several days.
Mrs. Anitha ordered the police and superintendent police to take all the necessary steps to alleviate the impact of rains, causing extensive damage to crops. Officials were told to issue early warnings to the inhabitants in low -laid areas of possible inundation. APSDMA was asked to keep the staff ready for rescue operations if necessary.
Officials were told to maintain a continuous supply of electricity and drinking water.
Meanwhile, housing and Minister and Pr Kolus Partharatha told officials to stay on the alert, and asked them to establish help and coordination centers to prevent loss of life and property. Officials were recommended to ensure proper hygienic measures. Mr. Kolus Partharathy was looking for a detailed report on damage to gardening crops, especially mangoes, in the Nuzvid election district.
District officials were recommended to organize medical camps wherever necessary, and to repair roads in areas where the vehicle was eliminated.
