Successful women from various fields were felicitated at the International Women’s Day program organized by the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCI) in collaboration with K-LAMP at Kalaburagi on Monday.
The function was organized at the Sri Srinivasa Raghogi Auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry where the distinguished guests started the program by lighting the lamp.
KKCCI Honorary Secretary Shivraj V. Ingaleshetti in his welcome address welcomed the dignitaries, awardees and participants.
In his opening remarks, KKCCI President Sharanabasappa M. Pappa said that the organization consistently recognizes women who have rendered outstanding service to the society and contribute to the empowerment of women.
He also highlighted initiatives taken to support women and students, including training programs such as digital marketing.
On the occasion, successful women from various industries were felicitated with Mahila Shreshta awards.
The awardees include Shailaja Bekanal (Industry), Lakshmi Maka (Education), Shobharani (Social Services), Mohini MS (Healthcare) and Nanda Shah (Arts and Culture).
Gynecologist Bhagyashree S. Patil, after receiving the award, appreciated the efforts of the organizers to recognize the contribution of women and encourage their empowerment.
She noted that women must strive to identify opportunities even in challenging circumstances and move forward with confidence and determination.
Other speakers emphasized the need for further efforts to empower women and praised the initiatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in promoting women-led development.
Several dignitaries were felicitated during the programme, including Sarvamangala Patil, who is the co-founder of the Udyama initiative, and Nalini Mahaganvkar of K-LAMP.
Part of the program was the sharing of the experiences of the awardees, who talked about their journey and achievements.
Speakers also emphasized the importance of family support, self-confidence and perseverance that enable women to succeed in various fields.
