
The Minister of the External Affairs Jaishankar met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday as part of a delegation of Foreign Ministers, who participated in a meeting of the organization in Shanghai.
This is Jaishankar’s first visit to China after the ties between two neighboring countries came under a serious trunk after a military distance to 2020 along the line of real control (LAC) in the eastern Ladak.

Jaishankar told his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi that the neighbors have made “good progress” in the last nine months in normalization relationships and added that it is crucial to avoid limiting business measures and roadblocks.
The Minister of the External Affairs also stated that India and the Chinese bilateral relationship require both nations to capture a far absorbed approach to their ties, PTI news agency reported.
India and China should now look at the de-schooling of the situation along Lac after they have made “good progress” to normalize bilateral links in the last nine months, Jaishankar said.
Improvement of bilateral bindings
Jaishankar also met the Chinese vice -president Han Zheng in Beijing 14 July. Minister noted the improvement of bilateral ties and expressed confidence that the discussion will keep this positive trajectory during his visit
During his meeting with Han Zheng Jaishankar, he expressed Indian support from the Chinese Presidency in Shanghai (SCO).
Jaishankar’s visit is followed by the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh and the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who traveled to China for SCO meetings in June.
Wang yi is expected to visit India next month to meet the NSA AJIT Doval-Soci part of the planned round of dialogue under the mechanism of special representatives (SR) aimed at resolving a ten-year border dispute.
The Galwan Standoff Valley in 2020 between India and China was the worst borders for more than 40 years, resulting in the death of soldiers on both sides. The incident sharply escaped tension and brought bilateral links to the historical minimum.
The decision to revive the SR dialogue and other sleeping channels was reportedly taken during a short exchange between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping on the edge of the summit in Russia in Kazan in October last year. After almost five years, there were several flashes of positive movement, especially the renewal of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
