The High Court in Kerala ordered the State Government to conduct a study on drug addiction between students and youth in the state. The study could consider aspects such as the number of registered cases, the age group of drugs found, the way of using drugs and regions where drug abuse is predominant. These data will be considerable to prevent drug abuse, the court said and published the case filed by Joseph of Ernacula to hear until 12 June. In her petition she was looking for steps to shut down students and youth from drug influence.
