Karnataka State Child Rights Commission Chairman Shashidhar Kosambe advised the students to study hard and take the exams with confidence that can help them achieve their educational goals.
Interacting with students from various schools during a discussion at the zilla panchayat hall here on Saturday, Mr. Kosambe said, “Students should get over their awkward feelings and shy nature during their studies and face any challenges that come during their student life with confidence, which can make it easier to achieve success.”
While receiving complaints from students about the lack of basic facilities in schools and poor transportation, the chairman specifically directed officials of the concerned department to immediately take measures to prioritize the expansion of facilities, including drinking water and toilets, whatever the students needed and create a good learning environment in the schools.
Mr Kosambe directed the Education Ministry executives to ensure zero tolerance for harassment of students by teachers and warned of action if such incidents are reported. He asked for a report within two weeks on the action to strengthen police patrols in places where schools and bus stands are located.
Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Tippanna Sirasagi, DDPI Channabasappa Mudhol, DHO Mahesh Biradar and others were present.
