Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Duvvuri Subbarao on Tuesday urged students to acquire knowledge in various fields as emerging technologies and new fields require skill sets such as digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity and adaptability.
Interacting with students after a lecture on “Leadership Lessons I Learned Hard Way”, organized by Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education (SAGTE), Dr. Subbarao said this approach will prepare them for a dynamic future by enabling them to navigate complexity, solve problems and innovate in an ever-evolving job market. He said students should not be discouraged by early setbacks, reminding them that failure is not something to be afraid of, but a valuable learning experience.
Mr. Subbarao shared his personal experiences and asked the students to choose a path and follow it with passion and sincerity. He urged the students to stay grounded, attentive and attentive to what is right in front of them.
He highlighted the qualities needed for leadership, emphasized that character is more important than personality, and explained the difference between the two. He said that true leadership is rooted in integrity and inner strength.
He also emphasized the importance of following one’s dharma, noting that it is always easy to preach values but difficult to live by them.
