During the visit, students were shown the bus washing lines, railway waste management and measures taken to maintain hygiene in trains and platforms, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya said.
Administering the Swachhata pledge, the DRM appealed to passengers and vendors to cooperate with railway employees and sanitation staff in keeping the premises clean.
Railway employees, ‘safai mitras’ and other workers took the pledge and reaffirmed their commitment to keep stations, trains and station premises clean.
