Nine students from Karnataka studying at the Medical University of Iran tried to help return to India in the middle of the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel. Students follow medicine at the medical university of Shahid Behshti near Tehran, the capital of Iran.
According to the Indian (NRI) forum, Karnataka, above Hussain, one of the nine students, and his parents who live in Bengalur, contacted the forum and expressed anxiety over the situation and sought help with immediate return.
The forum statement noted that his vice -chairman Aarti Krishna wrote to the Ministry of Outside and urged the rapid intervention to return the students back.
“We are in constant contact with the officials and employees in question and personally monitor the situation and take measures,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, there were 18 members of the B-PAC team who went on a study tour to Israel, forced to stay in Tel-Avius to turn off airports in Israel.
The team whose tour was from 6 to 14 June was scheduled to 14. But Israel closed the airport after a rocket and drone strike between the two countries and moved the fleets of its main airlines from the country.
“Our return has been delayed due to the closure of airports. However, we all take care of the Israeli consulate and the Indian embassy here,” said Matilda d’Ohou, member of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and part of the B-PAC team, and spoke to Hindi from Tel Aviv.
According to her, the group includes members of political parties, including congress, BJP, JDS and AAP, except for several without political associations. The group visited the B.Pac Civic Leadership Incubator program.
“We have been given good accommodation and food. Hopefully we will soon be able to fly,” said D’Ohza.
