Students demonstrate innovative solutions at the KITSW hackathon

Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, organized a one-day hackathon ‘Resolve 2026’ at the campus on Saturday.

Addressing the event, Director K. Ashoka Reddy said the event was aimed at promoting innovation, hands-on learning, teamwork and technological solutions for real-world challenges. The hackathon provided an opportunity for students to develop innovative ideas and apply new technologies to solve contemporary problems, he added.

The competition revolved around eight themes: smart agriculture management, healthcare, fintech, smart cities, disaster management, sustainability and energy, Industry 4.0 and education and assistive technology. Participants worked on problem statements drawn from real-world challenges and proposed solutions using technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, IoT-ML integration, prototyping and simulation.

Head of the Department of ECE, G. Raghotham Reddy, said mentorship and experiential learning are the main areas of the hackathon. More than 100 students participated in the hackathon and contributed to its success.
