Students and youth associations demand impartial probe into ‘irregularities’ in DSC-2025

Students and youth organizations in the state have demanded a comprehensive and impartial probe into the alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 recruitment, especially the filling of teaching posts under the sports quota.

All India Students Federation (AISF) state general secretary B. Naserji and All India Youth Federation (AIYF) state general secretary Yugandhar said in a press conference that fake sports certificates were used to secure teaching posts. They demanded a comprehensive probe into the role of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) and sports associations.

They said the candidates raised several queries related to the DSC exam, results, merit lists and selection process, but the government failed to provide satisfactory answers. They also alleged that some candidates who did not qualify in TET were allegedly given teaching posts.

Organizations have demanded that every stage – notification, examination, results, merit lists and appointments – should be transparent. They asked the CBI to probe the entire recruitment process, saying the government should have no reason to hesitate if it conducted the process fairly.

Students’ Federation of India (SFI) state president P. Rammohan and secretary K. Prasanna said in a statement that serious allegations had been made regarding the recruitment process and stressed that the government has a responsibility to ascertain the facts and present them to the public. They disputed the government’s claim that there were no irregularities when arrests were made and investigations ordered into certain incidents.

They said the lack of transparency in the sports quota recruitment would cause grave injustice to the unemployed candidates who had been preparing for competitive exams for years and crores of rupees in the process. Even an injustice to a single candidate could affect their future, they said, demanding action against those found responsible and justice for eligible candidates who suffered.

Federation leaders also condemned the filing of cases and alleged illegal arrests of police constable aspirants who were protesting peacefully in Kakinada and demanded withdrawal of cases, immediate release of those arrested and direct talks with the candidates to address their grievances.
