ALEN JV Government vocational colleges, Thodupuzha, was selected as the best National Service volunteer at the state level (NSS) VHSE.
Alen was selected for the prize for its palliative care and digital literacy classes in the district.
Alan, a native of Maryland in Kottayam, carried out more than 360 hours of palliative care activities in the district government hospital, Thodupuzha and digital literacy class at 12 VHSE schools in the Idukki district.
He also organized blood donation camps, medical camps, health awareness programs and community awareness.
Through the initiatives in the “My Bharat” portal and digital literacy initiatives, more than 550 SAC volunteers trained in the district.
