A 19-year-old student from Mankulam in Idukki was found dead in her hostel in Kothamangalam on Sunday (November 9, 2025). The deceased has been identified as Nandana Hari, a first year BBA student at Indira Gandhi Arts and Science College, Nellikuzhi.
In the morning, the hostel warden found her hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel located in the college campus. The body was taken to the Government Medical College, Ernakulam. The police registered a case of unnatural death.
Meanwhile, Nandana’s father Hari raised suspicions about her death. College principal Viji K. Ramakrishnan said Nandana lived in a room shared by four students while the others went home on study leave. She added that the teachers did not notice anything unusual about her.
